One of my goals this year is to be a better blogger, so here is my first attempt to keep to that resolution!
As always, the New Year makes me think of how wonderful the past year has been – the wonderful couples that I have been privileged to make wedding cakes for, the customers – new and longtime – that I have had the pleasure for working with, and the ongoing wonderfulness that is getting to spend your working life doing a job you love….here is to 2012 full of the same!
Now that the holidays are over, this tends to be a quieter time of year for cakes, but certainly not for wedding planning! This is the busiest time of the year for meeting with couples planning their weddings. Congratulations to everyone who has recently been engaged! Dates will begin to fill quickly, so we generally suggest making a tasting and design consultation as soon as you are ready.
I would like to remind everyone of (or bring to your attention) – we are celebrating our 3 year as a sponsor of the Clay Hill Farm Green Wedding Giveaway and will again be making the wedding cake for the lucky winning couple. As always, couples can enter themselves, but new this year – anyone can also nominate a couple they feel deserving.
While the next event is not until March, I also wanted to mention that we will be at the New Hampshire Wedding Magazine Wedding show at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth NH on 3/4.
